Brain Injury Association of Michigan's
29th Annual Conference

Compassionate Care Home Health Services, Inc. was recently a Bronze sponsor at the Brain Injury Association's 29th Annual Conference in Lansing. During this conference, Compassionate Care had the opportunity to meet with several organizations from around the State to discuss the latest information regarding traumatic brain injury and how to properly care for those with brain injuries.

The 2-day conference has been known to be the largest brain injury conference in the United States. In 2008, there were 117 vendors and over 1,000 attendees.

The Brain Injury Association is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, advocacy and research for those affected by traumatic brain injury. Incorporated in 1981, the BIA of Michigan was one of the first state associations chartered by the Brain Injury Association of America. 

The mission of the Brain Injury Association of Michigan is to enhance the lives of those affected by brain injury through education, advocacy, research, and local support groups; and to reduce the incidence of brain injury through prevention. 

The Brain Injury Association of Michigan's vision is to be recognized as a strong, viable, voluntary health agency providing leadership on traumatic and acquired brain injury through a broad range of services, and supporting research on brain injury treatment.
